At the final M&T Bank Classics concert of the 2014-15 season, the BPO recognized several musicians who were retiring or celebrating milestone anniversaries with the orchestra.
Frances Kaye, second violinist, retired from the orchestra after 45 years. She performed her final concert with the BPO on June 5.
Duane Saetveit, French hornist, will retire from the orchestra after 43 years. He will continue to perform with the BPO during the summer. His final concert with the orchestra will be on July 26 at Old Fort Niagara.
Diane Melillo and Don McCrorey, both second violinists, celebrated 45 years with the orchestra.
Richard Kay and Jeffrey Jones, also of the second violin section, celebrated 40 years with the orchestra.
Cellist Nancy Anderson celebrated 35 years with the BPO.
Martha Malkiewicz, bassoon and contrabassoon, celebrated 30 years with the BPO.
Jay Matthews, French hornist, celebrated 20 years with the BPO.
