We’re celebrating the 200^th anniversary of the Erie Canal, which played a key role in making New York the “Empire State.” This concert will explore four principal elements of music: rhythm, melody, harmony, and timbre. Through music by diverse composers, students will learn how each element is built to create symphonic music, just as the canal created a beautiful community where we all live.
